The research titled “Making TVET Pro-Poor: Challenges and Opportunities for Active Labour Market Programmes (ALMP),” was conducted by the Centre for Public Policy Research at the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. The principal investigator for this study was Dr. Zafar Zaheer. The project was carried out in partnership with the Public Policy & Social Protection Reforms Unit (PPSPRU) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and ran from November 2023 to May 2024.

The study aimed to determine to what extent the TVET system was responsive to the skill and industry needs and how successful the TVET system was at including the low-income quintiles in TVET programmes.
