Introduction

The Research and Development Department at the Institute of Management Sciences plays an integral role in guiding and overseeing the research efforts of students across all degree programs offered at the Institute. This department is the point of contact for proposal and thesis submissions and is the focal office for arranging proposal defenses. It is responsible for the meticulous processing of theses, internship reports, and Final Year Projects, from their initial submission to final approval. R&D Department works in close collaboration with the supervisors and Program Directors in the selection of qualified examiners, ensuring the rigorous evaluation of each thesis. Additionally, the department organizes and conducts comprehensive viva voce examinations and public defenses, providing a platform for students to present their research findings and defend their work before a panel of experts. As the directorate to the Board of Advance Studies and Research (BASR), the R&D Department serves as the central hub for fostering and promoting advanced research within the institute. It facilitates the development of innovative research projects, supports faculty and students in their research, and contributes to the overall intellectual growth of the Institute.
