Career Orientation Workshop (26th September 2013)
Organized by the USAID at Higher Education Commission of Pakistan
USAID Merit and Needs Based Scholarship Program (MNBSP) organized its first Career Orientation workshop at Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad on 26th September, 2013. The purpose of organizing this workshop was to build professional skills among the graduating students and help them improve their communication, presentation, and interview skills. The workshop provided them guidance on personal and professional grooming making them market ready human resource.
Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development was the chief guest of the event. Professor. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Executive Director, HEC, Thomas LeBlanc, Education Director, US AID, Mr. Ahmed Buksh Lehri, Federal Secretary Education, Ministry of Education and Training and Mr. Waseem Hashmi Syed, In charge HRD, HEC addressed to the representatives of ministries and US AID, Vice Chancellors and Directors of Local Universities, Heads of Different National and International Organizations, Advisors and Director Generals from HEC, NGOs and students from local and partner universities of MNBS program.
Students from local and HEC-USAID MNBSP partner universities including Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar participated in the event and earned the significance of the workshop in terms of equipping themselves with the key tools of career orientation and career progress with the guidance and progressive tools and techniques conveyed by the following Technical and Professional Master Trainers and Visionary Market Practitioners:
