Program Objectives
The Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS) is a twoyear full time intense program designed to produce business graduates who are capable of joining organizations of repute or are desirous of extending their careers in management sciences. The program is a blend of core and elective courses aimed at nurturing the academic advancement in business studies. Candidates of this program will have an opportunity to go through the rigor of theory and practice for building analytical & decision making skills. This program offers a route to join the MBA program in future. A resolute emphasis on building the core skills of the candidates is to be ensured by workshops and seminars. The program will equip graduates with contemporary knowledge of business and business environment and will offer various grooming opportunities to excel in building a career in management sciences.
Eligibility for Admission
The basic requirement for admission to the BBS program is a two year BSc/BA/B.Com/HND (Edexcel) or any equivalent degree. However, preference is given to fresh graduates or those who have completed their bachelor degree in the last two academic sessions. Only those who have secured at least second division with 45% marks or more are eligible to apply. For admission to this program qualifying our admission test and interview is compulsory. A candidate scoring less than 40% marks in test and interview will not be eligible for admission. Candidates who have secured at least 40% in the NAT are also eligible to apply.
Degree Requirements
For the Bachelor degree in Business Studies a candidate will be required to complete a minimum of 60 credit hours of undergraduate coursework. Writing a thesis in the BBS program is optional. A candidate may choose to study two courses of 3 credit hours each or may opt to write a research project / thesis (bearing 6 credits). Note: approval of the Coordinator BBS must be sought prior to opting for course work or research project / thesis.
