The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a rigorous program that is aimed at equipping young minds with the skills, knowledge, and edge to excel in the dynamic market of today’s business world. Different aspects of management are explored in depth with emphasis on the application and practice of theoretical knowledge. This program is a professional dais for those who would accept the challenges of the ever-changing world and will prepare them with necessary decision-making skills. The program aims at bringing out the best abilities, qualities, and polishing the students in a conducive environment.
Students with FA, FSc, or equivalent qualifications and having at least second division, securing 45% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. Qualifying the admission test and interview is compulsory. A candidate scoring less than 40% marks each in the test and interview will stand disqualified for admission. Candidates who have secured at least 40% in the NAT are also eligible to apply.
The BBA program is of a 4 year duration, spread over 8 regular semesters, and consists of 130-136 credit hours of studies. After completing the course work, every student is required to submit a Dissertation/Research Project carrying a weight equal to 6 credit hours (200 Marks). As an alternative, students may take two additional courses of 3 credit hours each (200 Marks) from their area of specialization to complete the degree requirements. The normal duration for completion of BBA Degree is 8 semesters over a period of 4 years. The maximum duration for obtaining BBA degree shall be 7 years
n the BBA program, students can now opt for five areas of specialization i.e. Finance, Marketing, H u m a n R e s o u r c e M a n a g e m e n t , Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Islamic Banking & Finance.
A program coordinator can offer courses from the variety of electives in an area of specialization depending upon the availability of faculty and changing market trends. The list of elective courses given at the end is not exhaustive and new courses can be added once approved from the Academic Committee of the Institute.
Entrepreneurship more broadly has come to be seen as the panacea for generating employment and economic prosperity in both developing and developed countries. Entrepreneurs create new products, new markets and new technologies thus benefiting the economy and society in which they operate.
As the leading Business School of Northern Region of Pakistan, we aim to develop our economy by teaching entrepreneurship as a process of employment generation and innovative solutions. The Entrepreneurship and innovation specialization would inspire potential students to think and behave like entrepreneurs, by being innovative and creative in their thoughts and actions.
