On August 28, 2024, representatives from UN-IOM and IMSciences met to explore potential research collaborations and shared areas of interest. IMSciences was represented by Dr. Zafar Zaheer, Coordinator CPPR, and Professor Dr. Nauman. UN-IOM was represented by Sadeer Al Jaboori, International Consultant for Market Research, and Ahsan Zia, National Program Officer for Livelihoods.
Mr. Sadeer discussed opportunities for collaboration in areas such as livelihoods, market assessments, and refugee studies. Dr. Nauman and Dr. Zafar highlighted IMSciences’ capacity and extensive experience working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan as a whole.
The Centre of Public Policy and Research has signed a project contract with GIZ to enhance the Public Policy and Social Protection Reform Unit (PP-SPRU). The “Strengthening Public Policy and Social Protection Reform Unit (PP-SPRU)” project aims to reinforce the capacity of PP-SPRU, develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework, and establish dedicated data cell. Over the next two years, the Centre of Public Policy and Research will play a pivotal role in facilitating these advancements, ensuring the effective strengthening of PP-SPRU.
