The research and development project titled “Dynamic Behavioral Attestation for Mobile Platform”, proposed by Security Engineering Research Group (SERG) at IMSciences, and in collaboration with Dr. Xinwen Zhang at Samsung Information Systems America has been formally approved by the National ICT R&D Fund in October, 2008. Having received the formal approval of the project, with an approved budget of PKR 11.9 million, SERG now aims to start the formal proceedings of the project as soon as possible. The duration of the project is 24 months.
Research objectives of the project are: “To develop a dynamic remote attestation technique for diverse computing environments enabled by mobile platforms and to implement remote attestation on mobile platforms”.
The primary academic objective of the project is to create an environment where students can work on modern and applied research in state-of-the-art security technologies, such as Trusted Computing, remote attestation and security for mobile devices.
Prototypes developed under the project will be released under an opensource license. Updates to the project and related activities will appear here.
