I pointed out some where in this blog about SELinux news website, which contains latest development. Definitely, there are other websites too, that features the latest updates/future plans of their softwares. I think so, news category is also needed for our blog so that every one can make a pointer to those websites too.
Secondly, weekly meetings were also highlighted some where in my emails, but till now, we have not realized this idea too.

Sir there is a category for each technology that we handle at the moment and a seperate news category.
We can use combination of these for such purposes. For instance SELinux news can be selinux and news. We can add a links category if you think there is a need. It might be a good idea. We can use resources category for links as well.
I have a better idea. I have pointed it out before but not to all of you. There is a site for managing links and it’s called http://del.icio.us . It’s pretty good too. Everyone should get an account there and I can post something about efficiently using it.

i think we can assign this responsibility of adding news about each catagory to the corresponding person. suppose news about SELinux should be added by Shaz and trusted computing from my side (suppose)…
about del.icio.us i think its a very good tool to manage links but i think it ll make things more complecated … in news section the news adder should just put the few introductory lines of the news and then give link for further details as is done in most of the websites… so that the scope of intrested be determined before following the link…
we can use this bookmark related tool from one account (combined) so that one can find things and put links as wel rather each person maintaining his own delicious account…
First, shaz: This is not addiction. I’ve been managing information on the web for long enough to know that if you start putting everything in one place, it gets lost and you can’t find it if you need it. Secondly, this is my area of research! Give me some credit!
Mr. T: I agree. We should post links here along with a little description about the link and also why we’re posting it here.. meaning why it’s important to the group. It’s better than keeping the whole thing in delicious. What I meant to say was that instead of having a “links” section here, we can use delicious. Moreover, I really don’t think we should have a combined account. Everyone (who needs it) can get a separate account and we can give links to it from here. (Besides, delicious does not allow multiple owners.) We need to manage our links anyways, so, why not use a site. I’ll be more than willing to suggest alternatives to delicious if someone’s interested. I just think it’s the easiest tool available.
I think we are confusing two different issues over here…
one of managing links and other of posting news to the blog…

The problem of multiple users with delicious can be solved by having a password known to everybody and having a group named delicious account but then there ll be the problem of knowing that who updated delicious and when. sometimes you need to let the group know about a link so how can we do that with delicious… delicious can be used to have a permanent url repository and for updating the group i think we ll should use the blog’s news section…
“why not to use a site” … how??
